OVERTURES: COMMUNICATIONS ON THE GO

Getting the word out to members and other interested parties is of paramount importance, and Overtures, the Orchid Society of the Ozarks' monthly Newsletter, is one of our primary vehicles for delivering intelligence, tidings, announcements, and information to group members. Each feature-packed issue brings you reports on previous and upcoming OSO events, thoughtful editorials, orchid-related historical facts, orchid growing tips, behind the scenes looks at the Society's functions, detailed member interviews, and much more.

Interested? The OSO Newsletters are in PDF format, so you will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader installed to view the files:

Overtures is normally delivered monthly via e-mail, but a printed copy can also be sent to those members and others who prefer a paper format.

**Meet the Overtures Editor!**

Retired from his professional career, Tom Larkin is an accredited AOS Judge, Director with ODC, has served as Director with IPA, and has served as well on the Board of Directors for the Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks. Former Vice-Chair and Training Director of the Mid-America Judging Center, Tom is now affiliated with the Great Plains Judging Center, yet maintains his position as Vice-President of SOA. He and his wife Barbara--current OSO President--were instrumental in founding the Orchid Society of the Ozarks, and both are heavily involved as supporters (and tireless laborers!) within our group. Besides judging at shows or giving talks, he and Barb maintain Whippoorwill Orchids, their nursery in Northwest Arkansas. Over the years, Tom has devoted many hours each month putting together quality Newsletters for the OSO--we hope you enjoy perusing some of them!
